Countingup

In December, we ran a Christmas competition for our customers. We wanted to give something back after an incredible 2018 for Countingup and this competition, with a prize of a brand new iPad Mini 4 up for grabs, was one way we could reward our customers.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in our competition and all of our customers who made it a huge success!

A special congratulations to the winner of our competition, Dave Jacobs of New Generation, who received a brand new iPad Mini 4.

We asked Dave a few questions about himself and how he ended up running his own business. Check out his answers below.

Why did you set up New Generation Groundworks & Paving?

I’ve been working in the construction industry for most of my life picking up experience with various different companies. I decided to set up my company in May 2018 with the intention of giving a wage to myself and my friends rather than having a cut taken off by an agency or umbrella company.

What makes New Generation special?

We try to give all customers a high standard of workmanship at competitive prices. With the goal of giving part of our profits to local goodwill causes. We’ve pledged to donate part of our first years’ profits to the British Legion and SSAFA and hope to continue our pledge on a yearly basis.

We’ve recently completed NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper with six of our lads, including myself, investing in the future and bringing new skills with a safe working practice.

How does Countingup help you run your business?

Countingup gives me the benefit of being quick and simple to use, giving me just the functionality needed to complete my day to day business financial needs.
